Associate’s Degree Requirements:

• Minimum 60 Credit Hours
• Minimum Cumulative G.P.A.: 2.00
• Minimum G.P.A. in the Major
• 15 Credit Hours of Residency Courses 
• 9 Credits of Major Residency Courses

• PSY 308 - Human Development 3 CR
• SOC 101 - Introduction to Sociology 3 CR
• SOC 201 - Social Problems 3 CR
• SSC 100 - Introduction to the Social Sciences 3 CR
• SSC 220 - Introduction to Research Literacy 3 CR

Other Program Requirements (6-8 Credit Hours):

• Complete a two-semester sequence of the same Foreign or American Sign language or a two-semester 100-level history sequence 6-8 CR

General Electives (12-14 Credit Hours):

• Complete additional general electives to reach the required 60 total credits 12-14 CR

General Education Requirements 24 Credit Hours:

Written Communication:

• ENG 101 - College Writing  3 CR

Oral Communication:

Complete one of the following communications courses 3 CR: 

COM 102 - Interpersonal Communication   

COM 104 - Communications in Groups and Organizations  

COM 190 - Nonverbal Communication  

Natural Science:

• Any approved 4 CR

Humanities and Fine Arts:

• Any approved 3 CR

Computer Literacy and Information Literacy:

Complete one of the following Computer Information Systems courses 3 CR: 

CIS 100 - Introduction to Computer Applications  

CIS 101 - Introduction to Computer Science  

Quantitative Literacy:

• MAT 115 - Elementary Statistics I  3 CR

Social Science:

• PSY 100 - Introduction to Psychology   3 CR
