Bachelor’s Degree Requirements:

• Minimum Cumulative G.P.A.: 2.50
• Minimum G.P.A. in the Major: 2.75
• Writing Intensive Course
• 30 Credit Hours of Residency Courses
• 9 Credits of Upper-Level Major Residency Courses

Program Major Requirements (72-73 Credit Hours):

Pre-Candidacy Phase Requirements:

• Complete all pre-candidacy EDU courses with a grade of B- or better
• Complete all core and general education classes
• Grade of C or better in ENG 101  
• Grade of C or better in mathematics (MAT 1xx)
• GPA requirement met: 2.5 overall; 2.75 in education courses
• Demonstrate proficiency on all key assessments
• Demonstrate proficiency on dispositions

First Semester:

• EDU 395 - Advanced Field Experience Seminar  3 CR
• EDU 396 - Advanced Field Experience Practicum  3 CR

Second semester:

• EDU 399 - Student Teaching Seminar  3 CR
• EDU 490 - Student Teaching  9 CR

General Electives (8-9 Credits):

8-9 credits of any 100-level or higher electives* (Math concentration has one less) 8-9 CR
