WGS 370W - Contemporary Women Artists3 CR CR
This course considers the historical contexts for artists who identify as women working from 1945 to the present, a period of rapid theorization and expansion in the arts in which contemporary and historical women artists gained new prominence. This course studies women’s art and cultural positions, centering the gendered conditions of production and reception for art after 1945. (This course is cross-listed with ARH 370W and AME 370W ).
Prerequisite(s): ARH 105 , ARH 106 , or ENG 101 .
