This course will survey the technical, social, economic and artistic developments in the medium of photography from its inception in the 19th century to the present. Lecture and discussion format with digital images and online media; possible field trip to study photographs in museum collection(s).

Prerequisite(s): Either ARH 105 or ARH 106 suggested but not required.
