Prerequisites:

To assure success, students should fulfill the prerequisite courses (offered every semester) before the requirements.

(British Surveys run on odd numbered falls and even numbered springs).
ENG 202W - Survey of British Literature I: Beowulf to Romantics 3 CR
ENG 203W - Survey of British Literature II: Romantics to the 20th Century 3 CR
(American Surveys run on even numbered falls and odd numbered springs).
ENG 250W - Survey of American Literature I: The Colonial Era to the Civil War 3 CR
ENG 251W - Survey of American Literature II: Post-Civil War to Contemporary 3 CR
Select four additional ENG 2XX, 3XX, or 4XX electives, up to two of which may be literature surveys (ENG 202W, 203W, 250W, 251W).

A minimum of 25% of the credits required for a minor needs to be earned at UMA for it to be awarded.
A student may be awarded any minor as long as no more than six credits of the minor can be used to fulfill the requirements of the student’s major or concentration.
