Admission Prerequisites:

• Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution in a different discipline
• Minimum Cumulative G.P.A. of 2.5
• At least six credit hours each in English, social studies, science, and mathematics.

Program Requirements:

• All classes passed with at least a B-
• Candidacy application required after completing EDU 100 , EDU 215 , EDU 200W , or EDU 335 , EDU 251 , EDU 366W , EDU 387  or EDU 363 .
• Application required for residency year (advanced field placement and student teaching)

To receive a Post Baccalaureate degree at UMA, students must take 30 credit hours beyond their bachelor’s degree. Students who have taken or received credit for more than 5 of the classes listed above in their bachelor’s degree will need to take additional elective courses. Please see your advisor to discuss options.
