Bachelor’s Degree Requirements


  • Minimum 120 Credit Hours
  • Writing Intensive Course
  • Minimum Cumulative G.P.A.: 2.00
  • 30 Credit Hours of Residency Courses
  • 9 Credits of Upper-Level Major Residency Courses
  • Minimum G.P.A. in the Major: 2.00
  • Minimum Grade of “C-” or better in 30 upper-level credits as well as all upper-level courses requirement in the major

Complete any five of the following, one must be a 400-level capstone course (15-17):


Other Program Requirements (6-8 credit hours):


  • Complete a two-semester sequence of the same Foreign or American Sign language or history sequence 6-8 CR

General Education Requirements (40 credit hours):


Written Communications (6 CR)

Complete any approved Oral Communications course (3CR)*

Quantitative Literacy (3CR):

Complete any approved Computer Literacy course (3CR)*

Complete any approved Social Science course (3CR)*

Natural Sciences (4CR)

Humanities (3CR)

Complete any approved Fine Arts course (3CR)*

Information Literacy

Complete any approved Critical Thinking course (3 CR)*

Complete any approved Cultural Perspectives course (3CR)*

Complete any approved Ethical Reasoning course (3CR)*

 

*These General Education courses are waivable for students with prior bachelor’s degree

General Electives (11-15 Credit Hours):


Number of elective credits needed will vary by individual student.  The credits are needed to fulfill the total 120 credit hours and upper-level requirements.

  • Complete 11-15 credits of any 100-level or higher electives 11-15 CR
