Music Minor

UMA Minor Requirements:

• A minimum of 25% of the credits required for a minor needs to be earned at UMA for it to be awarded. 
• A student may be awarded any minor as long as no more than six credits of the minor can be used to fulfill the requirements of the student’s major or concentration.

Minor Requirements (18 credit hours):

• MUH xxx - any music history course 3 CR

Choose one of the following (3 CR): 

• MUS 101 - Music Theory Blended: Contemporary and Traditional I  

Or

• MUS 122 - Fundamentals of Music  

Complete 12 credits of music electives (MUH  or MUS) to reach 18 credit hours. Three credits must be at the 3xx or 4xx level. (12 CR)
