UMA Certificate Requirements:

• Minimum 50% of the required courses taken through UMA
• Minimum 2.00 G.P.A. in the Program/Minor/Certificate

Admission Requirements

• GPA of at least 2.5

Certificate Requirements (15 Credit Hours):

• Complete one of the following (3 CR):

• EDU 400 - Mindful Teachers Teaching Mindfulness 3 CR
• EDU 500 - Mindful Teachers Teaching Mindfulness 3 CR

• Complete one of the following (3 CR):

• EDU 420 - Teaching, Learning, and Organizing for Equity, Social Justice, and Change 3 CR
• EDU 520 - Teaching, Learning, and Organizing for Equity, Social Justice, and Change 3 CR

• Complete one of the following (3 CR):

• EDU 444 - Self-Care and Resilience for Educators 3 CR
• EDU 544 - Self-Care and Resilience for Educators 3 CR

• Complete one of the following (3 CR):

• EDU 479 - Trauma-Sensitive Classrooms 3 CR
• EDU 579 - Trauma Sensitive Classrooms 3 CR

• Complete one of the following (3 CR):

• EDU 497 - Social-Emotional Learning: Core Competencies 3 CR
• EDU 597 - Social-Emotional Learning: Core Competencies 3 CR
