DEH 265 - Introduction to the Dental Health Profession

This course is designed to provide the student with a fundamental understanding of the dental health profession, including an introduction to a comprehensive evidence-based career path in dental hygiene. This course relates to an overview of roles and responsibilities in a general and/or specialty dental practice. The student will learn dental hygiene educational standards and credentialing, review of the literature and the impact of technology as it relates to the oral health practitioner.

Co-requisite(s): Enrollment in Dental Health Programs or instructor permission.
