VTE 224 - Surgical and Anesthesiology I3 CR
This course prepares the student to administer and monitor anesthesia during surgery. It includes the physiology of anesthesia, monitoring methodologies, and identification and response to anesthetic emergencies. This information is assimilated by the student and is used to administer and monitor anesthesia and critically evaluate the anesthetized patient status in the laboratory component.
The laboratory component VTE 224L must be taken in conjunction with VTE 224 unless prior approval is given by the instructor.
Prerequisite(s): Veterinary Technology program enrollment, BIO 116 , BIO 321 , CHY 103 , MAT 111 , VTE 100 , VTE 115 , VTE 210L /VTE 210 . Co-requisite(s): VTE 224L .
