DEH 305 - Dental Public Health I & Oral Health Outreach

3 CR

The study and application of current concepts in dental public health promotion, planning and practice identifying current trends in cultural awareness, health equity, and patient-centered value-based health care delivery. The principles of health education motivation theories, cultural competency, and lesson planning following the dental hygiene process of care will be included in this course with introduction to epidemiology, biostatistics, research, and scientific literature review.

Prerequisite(s): Enrollment in the Dental Health Programs.
Co-requisite(s): DEH 300 .
