DEH 304 - Dental Anxiety and Pain Management2 CR
This course provides a comprehensive foundation in the safe administration of local anesthesia and nitrous oxide-oxygen analgesia for the dental hygienist. Students will explore the neurophysiology, pharmacology, and clinical anatomy required for effective pain management. Emphasis on patient assessment, appropriate record-keeping, and the recognition and management of local and systemic complications. Lec 2 and Lab 2.
Prerequisite(s): DEH 202 and DEH 250 and DEH 252 and DEH 302 . Co-requisite(s): DEH 300 and DEH 304L .
