DEH 254 - Cariology and Nutrition in Oral Health

This course offers foundational knowledge in the bidirectional relationship of oral health and nutrition in the development of dental caries. Students will utilize evidence-based practice in understanding the connection of nutrition and caries progression etiology through nutritional assessments, caries risk assessments, prevention and management of dental caries.
