Minor Requirements (18 credit hours):

MUH 1xx any 100-level MUH course 3 CR
MUS 101 - Music Theory Blended: Contemporary and Traditional I 3 CR
MUS 141 - Applied Music Lessons 2 CR complete two semesters (4)
MUS 151 - Music Performance Ensemble(s) 1 CR complete two semesters (2)
Complete 2 credits of music electives to reach 18 credit hours 2 CR

Complete one of the following (3):

MUH 333 - Western Music History 3 CR
MUH 334 - Jazz History 3 CR

Advising Notes:

A minimum of 25% of the credits required for a minor needs to be earned at UMA for it to be awarded.
A student may be awarded any minor as long as no more than six credits of the minor can be used to fulfill the requirements of the student’s major or concentration.
