Biology Minor

Minor Requirements (20 Credit Hours):

Required (8 credits): Complete two biology courses with Labs to included BIO 110 General Biology I

Electives (12 credits):

Electives (12 credits): Complete a minimum of 12 credits in biology, to include one biology course at the 300 or 400 level. One chemistry course may be used towards meeting the 12 credit hours of electives.

Advising Notes:

  • A minimum of 25% of the credits required for a minor needs to be earned at UMA for it to be awarded.
  • A student may be awarded any minor as long as no more than six credits of the minor can be used to fulfill the requirements of the student’s major or concentration.
