Bachelor of Architecture Admissions Requirements:


Admission to the Bachelor of Architecture program is selective. Students must complete the above requirements to be eligible for consideration.

Bachelor’s Degree Requirements:


  • Minimum 150 Credit Hours
  • Writing Intensive Course
  • Information Literacy to be met
  • Diversity Requirement to be met
  • Minimum Cumulative G.P.A.: 2.50
  • 30 Credit Hours of Residency Courses
  • 9 Credits of Upper-Level Major Residency Courses
  • Minimum G.P.A. in the Major: 2.50

Program Major Requirements (101 Credit Hours):


All courses must be passed with a “C-” or higher.

Other Program Requirements (25 Credit Hours):


All courses must be passed with a “C-” or higher.

Complete one of the following math courses (3):


Remaining General Education Requirements (18 cr)


This section is waived for those who hold a prior Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.

All courses must be passed with a “C-” or higher.

Complete one of the following Computer Information Systems electives (3):

Complete two of the following Social Science electives (6):


  • ANT 1xx any 100-level Anthropology course

  • Complete 6 credits of any 100-level or higher electives 6 CR

Advising Notes:


  • A minimum grade of “C-” is required in all courses applied to the degree.
  • Students who earn a grade of less than “C-” in a required Architecture course, or whose average falls below 2.0, will be placed on architecture department probation for one semester. A student who achieves a 2.0 GPA or above and receives a grade of “C” or higher in all required Architecture courses at the end of the probation term, will be removed from academic probation. A student who fails to remediate their probationary status in one semester will be dismissed from the Architecture program and will be required to reapply for admission.
  • Any student who earns a grade less than “C-” in a required Architecture course during their first year in the degree program will be dismissed from the Architecture program and will be required to reapply for admission.
