ISS 430 - Computer Forensics

This course utilizes Forensic Toolkit (FTK) by AccessData to conduct forensic investigations. FTK can create images, process a wide range of data types from many sources, to include but not limited to: hard drive data, mobile device data, network data, and internet storage. FTK can decrypt files, crack passwords from over a 100+ applications and build a report all within a single tool. Legal issues and creating a forensic report will also be addressed. This course will walk students from the basics to the more advanced forensic concepts using the FTK software. At the conclusion of this course, students will be given the option to become a FTK certified examiner. This certification is not mandatory, but highly recommended.

Prerequisite(s): CIS 220 and ISS 232.
