HTY 375 - The History of Food, Cooking, & Flavors3 CR
Food is absolutely vital to daily human existence. It is also at the heart of the rise and fall of empires, wars, genocides, religious and family celebrations, ethnic and cultural identities, revolutionary technological advancements, and ecological movements. This course will explore the influence and impact of food, cooking and flavors throughout modern world history.
Prerequisite(s): HTY 103 or HTY 104 ; HTY 105 or HTY 106 ; or ENG 101 ; or permission of the instructor.
