CHY 103 - Chemistry for the Life Sciences4 CR
This course covers principles of chemistry with a focus on how they relate to the life sciences. Topics covered include the importance of measurements and units in science, atomic structure, ionic and molecular compounds, bonding, chemical reactions, energy and matter, equilibrium, solutions, acids, bases, pH, buffers, and nuclear chemistry.
Prerequisite(s): High school chemistry or higher, MAT030 or higher (concurrent enrollment permitted).
