HUS 366 - Grief Counseling

Regardless of the practice setting, mental health workers inevitably work with clients who are coping with loss, both death and non-death related, and grief reactions. This course will address the relevant knowledge and skill base needed to provide interventions to individuals and families coping with a range of loss experiences (normative and non-normative life transitions, divorce, physical health changes, foster placement, etc.) and death, dying and bereavement experiences.

Prerequisite(s): PSY 100 or HUS 101 or permission of the instructor.
