CIS 135 - Introduction to Information Systems & Applications Development

3 CR

This course presents the principles of information systems development and demonstrates how they are an integral part of the organizational decision-making process. Through discussions on systems analysis and hands-on lab activities, students obtain a solid background in databases, with a focus on relational database management systems. Students will gain a working knowledge of Excel (or other spreadsheet software) and Structured Query Language (SQL) in an Oracle database. Students will learn basic software development using Oracle APEX software.

Prerequisite(s): CIS 100  or CIS 101 .
