ARC 350 - Mechanical Systems in Architecture3 CR
A broad overview of the basic ancillary systems that allow a modern building to function will be covered. The student will learn how to design with consideration to these system needs, their spatial requirements,and their integration into design. Topics to be covered: vertical transportation, fire suppression, security,electrical - layout and design, communications, photovoltaics, natural and artificial lighting, acoustics, security, plumbing -domestic, sanitary and stormwater,heating, ventilation and air conditioning, and exchange systems (HVAC).
Prerequisite(s): ARC 204 , ARC 251 , ARC 261 , or permission of instructor.
