INT 110 - Religions of the World

3 CR

The study of religion examines how humans make meaning and orient themselves in the world. Religious expression takes multiple forms, and this class will focus on a sampling of organized traditions that have a global presence. We examine the historical contexts out of which some of these traditions emerged, foundational myths and rituals, influence upon local and global cultures, and contemporary impacts. (This course is cross listed with REL 110  and HUM 110 )

Prerequisite(s): ENG 101  or permission of instructor.
