BUA 252 - Business Ethics

3 CR

This course introduces students to ethical theory by way of specific ethical debates from the field of business. The ethics of “downsizing”, globalization, drug testing, advertising, and whistleblowing, among other topics, will be discussed. These debates will illuminate some of the theoretical principles that we use to evaluate right and wrong. We will examine the shortcomings and advantages of each theory, as well as critically examine the basis of business. Students will acquire an understanding of these philosophical approaches to ethics and develop their dialectical and critical thinking skills.

Prerequisite(s): ENG 101 .
