  • No Concentration (21 cr):
    • Complete 21 credits of upper-level (300-400 level) social science electives, Disciplines include: ANT, COM, ECO, GEO, HTY, POS, PSY, SOC or SSC (21)
  • Communications Concentration (21 cr):
    • COM 300 - Communication Theory  
    • Complete 12 credits of upper-level (300-400 level) COM electives (12)
    • Complete 6 credits of upper-level (300-400 level) social science electives (ANT, COM, ECO, GEO, HTY, POS, PSY, SOC or SSC) (6) 
  • Psychology Concentration (21 cr):
    • Complete 12 credits of upper-level (300-400) PSY electives (12)
    • Complete 6 credits of upper-level (300-400) social science electives. Disciplines include: ANT, COM, ECO, GEO, HTY, POS, PSY, SOC, or SSC (6)
    • Complete one of the following (3):
  • Sociology Concentration (21 cr):
    •  SOC 300 - Sociological Theory  
    • Complete 12 credits of upper-level (300-400 level) SOC electives (12)
    • Complete 6 credits of upper-level (300-400 level) social science electives (ANT, COM, ECO, GEO, HTY, POS, PSY, SOC or SSC) (6)

Other Program Requirements (9-11 Credit Hours):


  • 3 CR
  • Complete a two-semester sequence of the same Foreign or American Sign language or a two-semester 100-level history sequence 6-8 CR

Remaining General Education Requirements (22 credits)


This section is waived for those who hold a prior bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution.

  • Complete 9 credits of upper-level electives 9 CR
  • Complete additional general elective to reach the required 120 total credits 18-20 CR
