Education Studies Minor

Minor Requirements (18 Credit Hours):

This minor does not lead to teacher certification

Prerequisite for all courses: ENG 101  

• EDU 200W - Diversity, Poverty, and Cultural Competence 3 CR
• EDU 250 - The Teaching Profession 3 CR
• EDU 331 - Sociology of Education 3 CR
• EDU 345W - Child Development 3 CR
• EDU 401 - Educational Psychology 3 CR

Advising Notes:

• A minimum of 25% of the credits required for a minor needs to be earned at UMA for it to be awarded.
• A student may be awarded any minor as long as no more than six credits of the minor can be used to fulfill the requirements of the student’s major or concentration.
