CIS 454 - Advanced Python for Data Science

3 CR

This course offers students the opportunity to develop advanced programming skills by solving problems from disciplines such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and geographic information systems.   The course will focus on concepts such as object orientation, error handling, the distributed computing model, and working with industry-standard interfaces such as JSON, REST and SOAP.   The course will be taught using the Python programming language. (This course is cross listed with DSC 454 ). 

Prerequisite(s): CIS 110 , a 200-level or higher programming course and CIS 354
