BUA 388 - Accounting Fraud Analytics

An accounting course emphasizing the use of analytical procedures to conduct financial inquiries and fraud investigations. Students will learn how to interpret and dissect financial statements to deploy methods of analysis, including fraud detection, and communicate information necessary to evaluate transactions and account balances. Topics covered include comprehensive review of the balance sheet, income statement, equity statement, cash flows statement and their related accounts, as well methods of analysis, fraud prevention, detection and correction.

Prerequisite(s): BUA 101  and working knowledge of Excel.
